Printed marketing collateral
Sunrise medical, a multinational company who manufacture mobility aids including motorised wheelchairs and scooters, needed to produce a brochure for their latest product, the “Groove”. This is a motorised wheelchair with an emphasis on performance and technical innovation. The brochure needed to speak both to their dealers, so that they would stock the product, and also the end consumer, who would buy the product.
Sunrise Medical had, for a long time, used creative that was sent from their European headquarters in Germany. The marketing collateral, it was felt, didn’t necessarily speak very well to a British audience. The design of the Groove brochure had to be more visually stimulating, to achieve this a lifestyle photoshoot was organised focusing on the benefits the chair would offer to the user. The language used included all of the technical aspects that the dealers needed but put in a way that wouldn’t turn off
the consumer.
The new direction of the marketing material was very much seen as a positive move and subsequently I was asked to design a brochure along the same lines for one of Sunrise Medical’s partner dealers, Clark & Partners.
